Green Energy Tax Credits & Financing Options

ClimateMaster geothermal heating and cooling systems qualify for a recently implemented federal tax credit allowing homeowners to deduct 30% of the total geothermal system installed cost from their tax liability or tax due. Your state and local governments may offer additional incentives for installing geothermal heating and cooling system.

The Residential Energy Efficient Property Tax Credits (Section 1122) program is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. These nonrefundable federal energy tax credits help homeowners pay for qualified residential alternative energy equipment, such as geothermal heat pumps.

If you are a Massachusetts residential or business customer, you may qualify for:

Mass Save’s interest-free loan program to help you make energy efficiency improvements.

Through the Mass Save Residential HEAT Loan Program, residential customers are eligible to apply for 0% loans up to $25,000 with terms up to seven years.

The HEAT Loan is available to help with the cost of installing qualified energy-efficient improvements in homes or rental properties.

MassCEC offers residental rebates up to $17,500 and business grants up to $250,000 for the installation of qualifying ground-source heat pumps (GSHP), which provide highly efficient electrical heating, cooling, and hot water. This program is part of MassCEC’s Clean Heating and Cooling program, which supports technologies that provide customer cost-savings and environmental benefits while maintaining a high level of comfort and reliability.
